ABOUT FINE ART SCHOOL PORTRAITS
Fine Art School Photography is a natural approach to school photos that focuses on the authentic expressions of each child. Using only natural lighting, a simple studio setup and never forcing smiles or poses. I aim to make your child feel comfortable so I can capture them authentically for a timeless portrait. I'll be chatting to your child about their favorite thing to eat or which dinosaur they like best while I capture their sweet expressions. The whole session only takes a few minutes, so it's quick and easy for them.
HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT TO TRADITIONAL SCHOOL PORTRAITS?
I only offer School Portraits on a limited basis as part of my small photography business so my service is more boutique and personal.
Each child's gallery is different, containing 4-10 different photos of them depending on how many expressions they are happy to show me on the day. But, similar to the big companies I do offer a superior quality printing service at comparable prices.
CAN SIBLINGS JOIN IN TOO?
Yes! Siblings can join the fun whether they are part of the school or not.
If you're able to have siblings together for their photo's we can capture them individually and together too, if they'll allow it!

FAQ
WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?
Solid colors are best. All shots will be chest height and above so no need to worry about the bottom half. Please avoid wearing black, neon clothing and clothes with graphics and logos. Please also double-check your child’s face, clothes and nose are clean! The camera shows everything. ;)
ARE SIBLINGS WELCOME?
Yes - of course! I will take individual portraits of each sibling and then a photo of the siblings together, (if they will allow it!) Please reach out if you'd like to have a sibling join us.
HOW DOES IT WORK FOR BABIES?
Babies usually stay with their caregiver the whole time so they are safe and comfortable and photos are quick and easy for them. Baby sits on a lap and I position the parent/caregiver out of my camera so they don't appear in the photo. We play or sing and I snap away, babies are typically very curious about the camera which makes photo time a breeze.
HOW DO WE CHOSE OUR PHOTOS?
I will deliver a link to a gallery containing an album of each child for families to view. Each family album will contain 4-10 photos of each child in color and black and white. You can choose whichever photo’s you would like by selecting them from your child's gallery.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
I offer a variety of digital and print options and packages to suit everyones needs. There is no sitting fee and there is no obligation to buy after Photo Day. You can view my Price Sheet here for full details on the packages and products available. Digital photos are delivered immediately on purchase and I will deliver print products directly to your school. No shipping charges!
WHEN WILL WE VIEW OUR PHOTO'S?
Within 2 weeks of your session, I will send a link to the school for you to view your child's album. If you would like to purchase digitals or prints you can directly from the gallery.
Please note, the school viewing page is private to the school and live for a limited time,
if you would like your child's individual album password-protected just let me know.
ARE THERE ANY DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE?
I offer a 25% discount to families who would be unable to purchase photos without it. Please email me for a discount code.
