“They don’t stay babies for long” - my grandmother always used to say, and when you’re a new parent it’s hard to imagine - the days are so long, extremely hard in many ways .. that first year becomes a blur, and once you’re just getting in the rhythm of it all, your baby is a year old, and then walking and talking, those tiny, sleepy days are a distant memory, my hope is that the photos I take bring you back to those early days - how it all felt, for you to hold onto, for all the years to come as your baby grows and grows 🤍🤍🤍🤍

❄️ Let it snow! ❄️ We still got our photos!
I’m so excited to meet this little one next month for newborn photos - what a beautiful snowy adventure we had for these maternity photos. I offered another day as it was going to be very cold, still snowing and windy…but with breaks and warmer, dry clothes to change into this brave mama took on the snow anyway. We made memories capturing this special time in the snow in the final weeks before baby. And a wonderful adventure story to tell her one day 🤍

Just a couple of weeks ago it was still mild out there in Philly - now it’s feeling more wintery and icy. What a difference two weeks can make!! It’s that time of year .. more layers go on, the sandals finally get packed away, we start to think about what we are doing for the holidays and what’s around the corner next year. For photographers like me, outside sessions will slow down in a few weeks as the cold creeps in, I’ll be focused on newborns and home sessions, with the occasional brave maternity winter session ❄️

If you are thinking you have to wait until spring for family photos with winter coming - you don’t have to! Home sessions are wonderful for families year-round - relaxed, easy, no traffic or parking, and come with all the snacks and toys you could ever need!

Don’t have a lot of space? Worried your place is dark? You only need one good window for lighting and we can work magic in just one room🌟

In Fall & Spring I have a few weeks of visiting schools!!! ✏️ Spending time with so many kids in one morning, connecting with them to capture their sweet expressions is joyful, hilarious and exhausting all at the same time! 😆
It makes me appreciate how much our teachers give everyday to make sure school is engaging, inclusive and inspiring for our young ones. ✨

My school and preschool portraits, just like my family sessions, are natural, with no forced smiles and a simple setup. No flashing lights for kids to feel overwhelmed and we chat, get a little silly and keep things easy for them. Pricing is straightforward and ordering is simple. This baby girl was so tiny, but very strong - we laughed in surprise as she tried to roll around at just two weeks old. Amazing!

My newborn sessions are very relaxed and go at baby’s pace. No forced poses or baby having to be full and sleepy. Baby can be asleep, awake or usually a bit of both at this age! We stop to feed, change, soothe, whatever baby needs to be comfortable and help parents feel relaxed. And it all just becomes part of the session and how we gather our photos. 💕📷

Such a stunning evening for this sparkling maternity session by the water. We were freeeeeezing but it was totally worth it so we could capture these photos in their favorite spot ✨

Such a stunning evening for this sparkling maternity session by the water. We were freeeeeezing but it was totally worth it so we could capture these photos in their favorite spot ✨

So fun photographing these two little siblings and their parents at home just before Thanksgiving. I photographed them both as newborns and met this family first when Covid was still new and at that time I only met clients outside masked. What a whirlwind of a few years it’s been for us all … and these two are now a toddler and a preschooler! Eternally grateful for my little business connecting me to families and being able to grow these relationships over the years. 🥰

Loving this sparkly fall session - how lucky we were with the weather for this sweet baby session in the leaves. Its been SO RAINY here in Seattle - I’ve never had to reschedule so many sessions as I have these past few weeks.

Usually after rain is beautiful and fresh and the wetness makes the colors pop and adds some sparkle but I never make families go out when it’s actually raining - that’s not fun for you or me! ☔️ 📷

It’s officially autumn! 🍂 And as usual it’s gorgeous out there for photo sessions. I took this family to a location where we could have the beach on a mild day and the forest and fall color - it worked out beautifully to have both feels in their gallery and add that variety for them. ⛴️
